I plan and perform wedding and vow renewal services on the beautiful beaches and historic sites of the Cayman Is. Destination Cruise Weddings are my speciality, but I do visitor weddings and Registry Office weddings for residents as well.

Joy Basdeo's children call her "techno-mummy" because of the way she has embraced technology, and in particular Social Media following her retirement from government and re-emergence as an entrepreneur. She started her own Destination Wedding Planning business in 2008, and hasn't looked back. In 2011 she was joined by husband of 40 years, Sam Basdeo, and they moved into their new suite of offices overlooking the George Town waterfront. Together they plan and perform more than 200 wedding and vow-renewl ceremonies every year, for a very international clientele. As a couple they love to travel, play video-poker, and spend time with their 4 adult children and 4 grand-children. Joy Basdeo considers herself a real foodie, and loves to cook and entertain, something she shares with both her three sons, and her daughter.
